Booking & appointments
A room, a table, a chair and a yoga class are the same thing.
A bookable thing, held for a span of time, with a capacity. Getting that one sentence right is why a hotel, a salon, a gym, a turf and a tempo hire all work here without a separate product for each.
Two rules the whole thing turns on
Both are places booking software is routinely, expensively wrong.
Things are allocated, never counted
Three two-tops do not seat six — not together, which is the only way the six want it. The same arithmetic lies about three single rooms and a family, and about four courts and an eight-a-side match. So a booking takes one named unit, the smallest that fits, and a party no single unit takes is refused rather than split.
A night is not a day
The fourteenth to the sixteenth occupies two nights and the room is on sale again on the sixteenth morning. Get it wrong and you lose a night's revenue on every stay, or oversell one — and never trust the software again.
And one rule about honesty
A booking taken offline is a request, not a confirmation. Two phones with no signal cannot both promise the same room to different families, so the app says 'requested' and means it.
In detail
Configuration, not separate products. The same four tables underneath all of it.
Stays
Hotel, homestay, guest house, dharamshala. Front desk, folio, night audit, guest register, occupancy and ADR.
Tables
Restaurant reservations with real table allocation, hold clocks and a walk-in waitlist.
Appointments
Salon chairs, clinic rooms, doctors, technicians. Per-person allocation, so two chairs means two ten-o'clocks.
Classes
Repeating timetables with places remaining, packs, waitlists and a cancellation window.
Courts and turf
Hourly exclusive slots with peak and off-peak pricing on the same rate calendar.
Assets and vehicles
Cameras, tools, tents, cycles, self-drive and tempos — with deposits, condition photos and an overdue list. A vehicle and its driver held as one booking, both or neither.
Seats and events
A seat map is child resources under a venue; a ₹200 general tier and a ₹500 front tier are two shared resources under one event. No new machinery, which is how you know the model is right.
Lockers and study seats
Monthly rentals, anchored to the day they were taken.
The parts that are usually missing
Seasonal rates
A rate calendar by date range, weekday or hour — written as a fixed price or as a multiple, so a season lifts the family room and the single differently instead of flattening both to one number. A stay crossing out of a season is billed at both rates, night by night, and the customer can see which night was which.
Minimum stays
Half of what a season is. Dev Deepawali is not merely a higher price, it is a refusal to take one night — and the minimum binds on the night you arrive, so a long guest is not turned away by a rule about short ones.
A booking code somebody can read out
Six characters with no B or 8, no O or 0, no I or 1, no S or 5. The failure mode of a booking reference is not collision, it is somebody reading it out wrong on a bad line.
A public booking page, included
yesbos.app/book/yourshop on day one with nothing configured, and your own domain when you want one. It paints in one request, shows the price night by night, and tells the customer a room type with a count remaining rather than a room number — because which room is a question the desk answers.
What this will not do
It is not a channel manager. A room sold here is not pulled from an OTA automatically, and until it is, keeping the two in step is yours. An integration that silently drifts and oversells your Saturday would be worse than not having one.
And bookings are online-authoritative. Billing works with no internet; taking a confirmed booking does not, because two devices cannot safely promise the same room. A narrower true claim beats a wide false one.
One plan. All of it.
Not a tier, not a trial. Start with one spoken sentence and see how far it goes before you decide anything.
One month, everything included. No card to start. Cancel inside the month and you are not billed.
